was volunteering there. I remember saying to her, " I could never do that.... I would want to take them all home!!" Her response to me was... "Guess what? Every volunteer want's to take them all home! It's not about you.. it's about the dogs!"

It's true .... every volunteer want's to take the dogs home. But we can't... what we can do is to feed them, play with them, and love them while they are at the Shelter... and pray the get adopted!

Back to the original question.... Why do I volunteer.???
* It makes me happy.....
* I've made life long friends with a common purpose...
* Great exercise!
* I've learned patience...
* Because a dog's love has no boundaries, I get back
much more than I give.....
Dogs end up in shelters for many reason's... mostly through
no fault of their own.

To the left is Izzy... who with the love, patience, and an apple has learned to trust humans. When she first came to us she was terrified of everyone. Seeing transformations like this feeds my soul!
It's better than a doggie cookie!
