Virginia’s fourth Energy Star and WaterSense products Sales Tax Holiday is from today, Friday, October 8th through Monday, October 11th.

During this tax holiday, consumers can purchase a variety of energy saving products and not pay the 5% state and local sales tax. The tax exempt items include dishwashers, cloths washers, refrigerators, air conditioners, ceiling fans, compact fluorescent light bulbs, and programmable thermostats that carry the Energy Star designation. The tax exempt WaterSense items include bathroom sink faucets, faucet accessories, and toilets. Products must cost $2,500 or less each and be purchased for non-commercial or personal use.
